Our Web Development & Support Services Section is currently seeking an Information Technology Specialist I to function as a Web & Application Development Specialist within the Agile Development Team (ADT). Our ideal candidate has a strong work ethic and experience developing Enterprise Applications using modern frontend web frameworks (ReactJS, VueJS, etc.), along with experience using backend technologies (node.js, PHP, Python, etc).

ADT functions in a fast paced environment where we ship MVP products (within weeks) and create some awesome and easy to use apps for the enterprise and the general public! We use the latest tools/frameworks, work well as a team, and arent afraid to fail.

If you want to be challenged and learn together as we deliver high quality apps, this job is for you! Our dynamic team operates in a Mac environment, setting us apart from the standard practices in the state.

Sponsorship

Effective July 1, 2025, The California Department of Human Resources (CalHR) implemented the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025). PLP 2025 directs that each employee shall receive a 3 percent reduction in pay in exchange for 5 hours PLP 2025 leave credits, monthly. The salary range(s) included in the job advertisement do not reflect the 3 percent reduction in pay.

Desirable Qualifications

In addition to evaluating each candidate's relative ability, as demonstrated by quality and breadth of experience, the following factors will provide the basis for competitively evaluating each candidate:

• 2+ years of experience in full stack web application development building responsive, user-friendly web applications
• Proficient in server-side technologies (e.g. PHP, Node.js, Python, etc.)
• Experience with SQL databases (e.g. MySQL, Postgres, etc.)
• Experience working with source code management, issue tracking tools, and agile methodology (e.g. Git, GitLab, Jira, etc.)
• Proficient in frontend technologies (e.g. HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, etc.) and in at least one modern web framework (e.g. React, Vue, Angular, Ember, etc.)
• Familiar with application architecture, design, and deployment in cloud infrastructures
