SOC Analyst

Job Summary:

IT Veterans is seeking a Security Operations Center (SOC) Analyst to join our growing cybersecurity team. This role is ideal for someone with strong analytical skills and hands-on experience monitoring and defending enterprise systems in a fast-paced environment. You must have a TS/SCI clearance.
Key Responsibilities

• Monitor, analyze, and respond to security events and incidents in real time.
• Utilize tools such as Splunk and Trellix to detect and investigate suspicious activity.
• Correlate security events across multiple platforms to identify potential threats or vulnerabilities.
• Escalate and coordinate incident response activities as needed.
• Support the ongoing improvement of Security Operations Center (SOC) processes and procedures.

Required Skills & Experience

• Prior experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC) environment.
• Proficiency with Splunk (SIEM) and Trellix (formerly McAfee) security solutions.
• Strong understanding of security operations, incident response, and security monitoring best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
• TS/SCI clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Industry certifications such as Security+, CEH, CND, or Splunk Certified User/Power User.
• Familiarity with DoD or government cybersecurity environments.
