FUNCTIONAL TEAM
The Office of the CIO provides a broad set of services from Learning and Development to Workforce Strategy ensuring our organization can deliver on strategic objectives. Our business tools include M365 (Teams, SharePoint, Viva Engage) and Microsoft Office suite for presentations and analysis.
We are looking for an Intern who is up to the challenge of learning and leveraging a variety of tools and processes to help innovate new ways of working. The ideal candidates have a strong desire to build organizational and customer facing skills. As an Office of the CIO intern, you will work directly with a high performing team that leads our talent development programs across Technology, Data, Analytics and Cyber.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
. Support planning and execution of engagement and networking activities within summer programs. This can include:
o Cross-coordination between Early Career Development program events
o Support planning and facilitating of program events
o Research and cost analysis of vendors
o Order and distribution of event swag
. Prepare program materials and supporting documentation using Microsoft Office, Teams, and SharePoint
. Participate in team meetings by capturing action items and providing input on program events
. Collaborate with teammates to support business initiatives. This can include:
o SharePoint updates
o Draft, prepare, edit and distribute communications

. Technology focused curriculum preferred but not necessary.
. Teacher Recommendations preferred.
. Engagement and leadership in school clubs, extracurricular activities, community, or volunteer enrichment events preferred

LOCATION OF INTERNSHIP:
. 1 Hartford Plaza Hartford, CT
. Hybrid - Tuesday-Wednesday-Thursday in office

WORKING TIME / SCHEDULE
. Monday - Friday, 20 hours. (Position is Part-Time, Temporary)
. Internship starts mid-June and runs through mid-August
. Working hours vary, typically 8:30AM - 5PM
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS / CONSIDERATIONS:
. Reliable Transportation
. Must satisfy employment eligibility requirements as established by The State of Connecticut and pass required back-ground checks.

Compensation

The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:
