This is your chance to take on a rewarding role in hospital medicine while working in an environment that values your clinical judgment, your ability to manage complex cases, and your experience in hospital admissions. Our team delivers high-quality care to hospitalized patients, particularly during night shifts, when quick, effective decision-making is critical.

  • Collaborative Environment : Be part of a team that prioritizes collaboration and communication to ensure smooth patient transitions and the highest standard of care.
  • Competitive Compensation : We offer a competitive salary, benefits package, and additional incentives, rewarding your dedication and expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Evaluation & Management : Conduct thorough physical exams, review medical histories, and assess patients admitted during night shifts to determine appropriate diagnoses and treatment plans.
  • Hospital Admissions : Leverage your extensive experience in hospital admissions to ensure a smooth and efficient admission process, including assessing the need for immediate interventions.
  • Diagnostic Test Interpretation : Order and interpret laboratory tests, imaging studies, and other diagnostic tools to guide clinical decision-making.
  • Treatment Planning : Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including medication management, therapeutic interventions, and discharge planning.
  • Critical Care Management : Respond to medical emergencies, manage unstable patients, and initiate life-saving interventions when needed during night shifts.
  • Communication & Collaboration : Effectively communicate patient status to attending physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals through detailed handoffs and accurate documentation.
  • Patient Education : Provide compassionate explanations of diagnoses, treatment plans, and post-discharge instructions to patients and their families.
  • Documentation : Maintain accurate, detailed medical records, ensuring thorough documentation of assessments, interventions, and patient progress.

Work Schedule:

  • Night shifts, typically 12 hours (with flexibility depending on your needs).
  • Rotating schedules with other nocturnist NPs for cross-coverage, ensuring balanced workloads and team support.
  • Weekend and holiday coverage as needed, with flexible options to accommodate your personal lifestyle.

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Current NP license and relevant certifications.
  • Extensive experience in hospital admissions is required.
  • Experience in acute care or hospital medicine is preferred.
  • Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills, with the ability to act quickly and effectively in high-pressure situations.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to ensure seamless teamwork and optimal patient care.
