Responsibilities:

• Greet and welcome patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
• Answer and manage incoming calls, directing them to the appropriate staff members.
• Schedule and confirm patient appointments, ensuring optimal use of the physician's time.
• Verify patient information and update electronic medical records accurately.
• Collect co-pays and process payments, providing receipts as necessary.
• Assist patients with completing necessary forms and documentation.
• Maintain the reception area, ensuring it is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
• Manage incoming and outgoing mail, faxes, and deliveries.
• Coordinate with medical staff to ensure efficient patient flow and address any scheduling issues.
• Handle sensitive information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Perform other administrative tasks as assigned by the office manager or physician.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in office administration or medical reception is a plus.
• Proven experience as a receptionist or in a customer service role, preferably in a medical setting.
• Proficient in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems and office software (e.g., MS Office).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA regulations is preferred.
