The Garden Center Sales Associate's primary responsibility is to assist customers and take care of the garden center with a friendly demeanor and efficiency.

Job Responsibilities

• Follow supervisors’ instructions accurately
• Assist customers in finding products and plants
• Water plants and perform other plant maintenance tasks
• Nursery maintenance and upkeep
• Receive, unload, and take inventory of products from incoming trucks
• Cashier duties as needed
• Other duties as needed

Job Requirements

• Horticulture background preferred
• Must be a friendly, enthusiastic, and dependable team player
• Must maintain a high standard of customer service
• Great work ethic
• Timeliness and dependability critical
• Work as part of a team and take direction well
• Proper use and care of all tools, equipment and machinery
• Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, other crew members and customers
• Experience operating equipment such as a forklift, Bobcat, or front-end loader a plus
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds on occasion and 25 pounds regularly
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in all seasons and weather conditions
• Must be able to pass a background check and a drug screen
