Learning Objectives:
Greeting clients, determining their purpose in visiting (information gathering, scheduling, handling numerous questions and requests for assistance in person and by phone), and assisting them in their individual needs. The student worker will be able to learn the operations of a professional center within the College, complete assigned tasks on time, and assume additional responsibilities. When opportunities arise, the student worker may interact with faculty and staff to highlight the techniques and strategies they use with students and clients.
Objectives will target verbal and written communication skills, technology, and organizational skills.
Hours needed would be roughly 4pm 8pm, M-F. These hours would shift based on business needs at CCE.
Consistently maintain 6 credit hours each semester; Maintain satisfactory academic progress; Adhere to College's confidentiality policy; Successfully pass background/drug screening; Answer phone and take messages; Clerical duties such as filing, data entry, copying and faxing; Open and sort mail; Strong interpersonal communication skills; Willingness to learn new technology; Assist with special projects; Other duties as assigned.
