POSITION SUMMARY:
The Wine Club manager is responsible for the leadership and management of the Wine Club and eCommerce channels for Wise Villa brands. This role provides members with an extraordinary level of customer service, providing a positive experience at all points of contact. This position also includes managing our wholesale accounts on and off premise.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES:
Wine Club:
• Establishes annual wine club goals including membership acquisition and retention goals, revenue and expenses.
• Develops club shipment profile including sku mix, timing and collateral and coordinates execution with our fulfillment company.
• Develops wine club communication and event strategies.
• Develops member acquisition strategies.
• Manages wine club loyalty programs.
• Proactively analyzes membership trends and develops and offers wine club-specific special offers and benefits to ensure an active and healthy member file.
• Plans, organizes, and executes wine club event strategies.Web/Email:
• Works with Email Marketing to establish annual eComm goals.
• Works with web services to refresh information (new vintages/releases, tasting room, events, wine club) on website on an as-needed basis to make sure site is the most current reflection of the brand and its activities.
• Works with Email Marketing team to develop annual email communication strategy taking into account all “newsworthy” activities (new releases, events, acclaim announcements, promotions, etc.).
Other/Business Management:
• Partners with Brand Marketing to develop annual DTC business plans to include DTC objectives, strategies and tactics, annual case and revenue goals and operating expense budgets; reforecasts revenue and operating expenses on a quarterly basis.
• Analyzes sales reports monthly for the Wine Club and eComm channels and shifts strategies and tactics accordingly.
• Represents winery at special hospitality events and marketing functions as needed.
• Host VIP tastings, tours, and work the tasting room floor as needed.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Essential Skills, Experience, and Education:
• No less than five years Direct to Consumer experience including at least two of the following
• retail store or tasting room management
• direct mail or email program management
• loyalty program management (credit card, wine club)
• Demonstrated strategic orientation with ability to effectively execute to plan and drive sales.
• Proven management and leadership skills, ability to effectively train and manage a diverse staff, with diverse skill sets, possibly in multiple locations.
• Strong customer service skills with ability to discriminate needs and interests of various consumers.
• Point of Sale Software savvy (vinsuit and red chirp) . Proficient in common business software such as Word, Excel, Adobe, PowerPoint, Calendars, etc.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Proficient in both the retail and restaurant sales environments.
• Ability to hit target monthly sales and distribution goals while maintaining relationships with new and established clients.
• Ability to strategically plan, prepare and execute sales goals on a weekly and monthly basis.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift and move 50 pounds.
• Must be able to sit and stand for long periods of time.
• Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
