Web Designer/Developer – for immediate start

We are seeking a dedicated web designer/developer to join our team in the Fairview, OK office possibly our Norman, OK office. You will help maintain and enhance our current website(s), help design new websites, eCommerce, SEO, and help with other varieties of online related projects. To be successful in this position, you’ll be a self-starter, capable of delivering brilliant creative ideas, show amazing attention to detail, and have technical knowledge in web development.

Our marketing department works in mixed media (websites, printed material, interactive media, social media, videos, etc.) so having an awareness of the importance of how different elements complement one another is highly recommended.

Job Qualifications:

• Proficient in WordPress development
• Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and some knowledge of PHP
• Deep understanding of SEO, performance optimization, schema, and site speed tools
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite using tools like Photoshop and Illustrator
• Strong knowledge of user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design
• Experience with multilingual WordPress (WPML, Polylang) is helpful but not necessary
• Have a strong eye for visual composition and excellent eye for details
• Understanding of a PC computer
• Effective time management skills
• Able to give and receive constructive criticism
• Knowledge of Constant Contact and its design restrictions a plus but not necessary
• Knowledge of social media (Facebook & Instagram) and their design restrictions

 

Ideal candidates will have experience with key tasks including:

• Using custom WordPress themes & plugins like WPBakery Page Builder
• Font-end development and responsive design
• Mobile responsiveness (Our websites must be optimized for all devices including mobile, tablets and desktop)
• Think creatively to produce new ideas and concepts and develop designs suitable for our company
• Keep up-to-date with trends in web design techniques and software.
• Deliver concise, accurate documents as defined by Marketing Manager.
• Proof-read all work to produce accurate and high-quality work.
• Review graphics, layouts, fonts, colors and sizing.
