We are seeking Turkish Over-the-Phone Interpreters (OPI) to support our USCIS contract. Turkish is an important language for immigration, asylum, and legal cases, requiring interpreters with precision and cultural fluency.

Responsibilities

Provide real-time Turkish

  • English telephonic interpretation for USCIS officers, applicants, and stakeholders.
  • Interpret accurately and impartially in immigration, legal, and administrative settings.
  • Follow USCIS/DHS compliance and interpreter ethics standards.
  • Handle both scheduled requests and urgent/surge interpretation needs.
  • Participate in training, compliance refreshers, and quality assurance reviews.

Qualifications

  • Native or near-native fluency in Turkish and English.
  • 2+ years of professional interpreting experience (immigration, legal, medical, or government strongly preferred).
  • Familiarity with interpreter ethics and confidentiality requirements.
  • Strong communication skills and cultural competency.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident eligible for Tier 3/Tier 5 federal clearance.
