Now hiring a Truck/Trailer Mechanic in Chambersburg, PA!

Shift: 1st shift 5am-1:30pm OR 6am-2:30pm

Pay Rate: $23-$29/hour based on experience

Job Description

The Truck/Trailer Mechanic ensures equipment is available for use by inspecting and testing vehicles, completing preventive maintenance, and performing necessary repairs. The role involves maintaining the vehicle's functional condition by addressing operator complaints, conducting inspections, repairing failures, and handling mechanical and electrical system malfunctions.

Essential Skills

• Hydraulics knowledge.
• Preventative maintenance skills.
• Diesel engine expertise.
• Brake system proficiency.
• Oil and grease application.
• Knowledge of heavy-duty trucks and trailers.
• Electrical and hydraulic expertise.
• General mechanical skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with PM mechanic work, including greasing trucks, oil filters, brake work, and hydraulic pumps.
• Skill in fixing broken parts and electrical lights on trucks.
• Proficiency in computer diagnostics for engine diagnostics.

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $32.00/hr.
