Prime Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Salina, Kansas.

EMR: Meditech Experience Required!!

Job/Unit Requirements:
Contract length: 13 weeks
Shift dates/schedule: 7a-7:30p
Weekends Required: Every other weekend
License required: KS or Compact License at time of submission
Certifications required: BLS, TNCC required
# of years of experience required: min of 2yrs experience required
Floating: will float to 4 Med unit. For both units we will take floats from the ED depending on their needs

5 Med Skills: Use of Rapid Response/Code Teams, Endocrine/Metabolic, Gastrointestinal, Genitourinary/Renal, IV therapy/Phlebotomy (starting IVs, etc), Medications (Heparin, Insulin, PCA), Neurological/Psychiatric (Pre/Post Neuro Surgery), Orthopedics (Ortho Trauma, Total Joint Replacements), Plastics (Surgical drains), Respiratory (Chest tubes, CPAP/BiPAP, HFNC, Oral Suctioning, etc), Isolation Precautions, Wound Care/Wound Vac

Unit scrub: Navy Blue

Ratio:1:6
40 bed unit
All surgical patients except cardiac. Ortho, Neuro, trauma, general surgery, Urology
Pre/post op patients
General pediatrics

Float Unit to 4 Med
Ratio: 1:6
40 bed unit
Nephrology oncology and general medical
