Job Title: Studio Director (MEP)

Location: Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex

CornerStone Professional Placement has partnered with a dynamic and fast-paced Architectural Firm that is seeking a Studio Director (MEP) to lead their high-volume studio focused on quick serve restaurants, retail and some commercial development projects. This is a strategic leadership role responsible for driving project delivery, team development, and studio growth. The ideal candidate is a servant leader with strong organizational and communication skills, who thrives in a deadline-driven environment and brings a solutions-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the overall success and development of the studio team
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and projects under studio oversight
  • Collaborate with SPMs, PMs, and PCs to align resource allocation and project planning
  • Oversee project execution from kickoff through permitting, typically within a 6-week turnaround
  • Ensure team compliance with company standards, quality, and timelines across 40–50 concurrent projects
  • Train and mentor team members on client programs and internal processes
  • Review and approve construction drawings and documentation
  • Participate in business development, marketing strategies, and client relationship management
  • Coordinate staffing assignments and performance evaluations with ownership
  • Contribute to proposal writing, fee development, and budget setting
  • Monitor deadlines, budgets, and quality across all projects
  • Ensure effective communication, timely meeting documentation, and task delegation
  • Lead by example through transparency, accountability, and collaboration

Requirements:

  • 5–10 years of experience in the architecture or design industry, preferably with high-volume projects
  • Proven leadership experience in managing teams and driving studio success
  • Licensed Architect strongly preferred
  • Expertise in AutoCAD required; Photoshop for 2D color elevations is a plus
  • Strong understanding of MEP systems and permitting processes
  • Experience in working with Quick Serve Restaurants, local developers, or shopping centers is a plus
  • Comfortable with fast turnaround timelines and a high-volume workload
  • Detail-oriented, flexible, and highly organized
  • Servant leader mindset with excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Employment Type: Direct Hire
  • Schedule: Full-time, On-site; ½ day Fridays
  • Location: Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex
  • Salary: 85-120K or more based on experience, plus bonus
