Department: LPH Sterile Process

FTE: Full Time, 1.0, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)

Shift: Flex

Pay: $22.80 - $29.64 / hour. Compensation is based on the applicant's relevant experience.

Summary: We are seeking a dedicated Sterile Processing Training Coordinator to shape the future of our Sterile Processing Technicians through impactful education and training programs.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with department leaders and staff to identify learning needs and competencies of Sterile Processing personnel.
• Create, coordinate, and execute onboarding competencies for new hires.
• Evaluate and document the progress of new employees throughout their orientation process, offering additional support as necessary.
• Design, coordinate, and implement continuous educational resources and required competencies for Sterile Processing staff.
• Demonstrate critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work independently while thriving in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

• Minimum Required Education: High School diploma or GED.
• Required Licensure/Certification: CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician) through the Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) or CSPDT (Certified Sterile Processing Distribution Technician) through CBSPD within 1 year. Preference for CRCST at hire for applicants with direct sterile processing experience.
• Minimum Experience: At least 2 years of experience in Sterile Processing or as a Surgical Technologist in an operating room.
