Nesco Resource is looking for a Senior Network Engineer experienced in the architecture and implementation of a secure network infrastructure. The Senior Network Engineer will perform a variety of technical and operational duties in support of a 90+ site Fortinet deployment. The deployment includes FortiGate Firewalls, FortiAP WAPs, core FortiSwitches, FortiManager, and FortiAnalyzer. This position requires an individual that is highly-motivated, has an in-depth knowledge of the technical solutions and how they are deployed, and will share responsibility for the organization, security, and protection of Fortinet network devices and equipment.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of network (firewall, switching, wireless) design, configuration, deployment, administration, and management (Juniper, Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, CheckPoint )
• 3+ years of experience with Fortinet management systems and devices i.e. FortiGate, FortiSwitch, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, FortiAP (REQUIRED)
• 3+ years of network security focus
• Experience with FortiOS High-Availability configurations (REQUIRED)
• Experience with FortiClient and EMS configurations (REQUIRED)
• Experience with firewall security services
• Experience in Designing, deploying, and managing multiple large-scale networks
• Experience in deploying VPN technologies
• Exposure/experience to ZTNA technologies (PREFERRED)
• Experience with network troubleshooting and rule building and deployments
• Experience working in cloud environments with cloud management tools
• Experience with MS Server Administration a plus
• Experience with MS Active Directory Administration a plus
• Project Management Skills a plus
• Networking Certifications a plus, but not required
• Degree in computer engineering, business administration, or related field

Responsibilities

• You will be responsible for designing, creating and implementing templated solutions for a new 90+ site Fortinet deployment
• Assist in managing network changes, software upgrades, firmware upgrades, hardware upgrades, specifically overseeing the communication and coordination of these changes.
• Support the physical & virtual aspects of the network infrastructure.
• Install hardware or software fixes associated with security vulnerabilities
• Oversee Network/Infrastructure security policy development and management
• This includes tightening policies, optimizing policies, managing & deploying policies, and submitting metrics highlighting the risk posture
• Provide network engineering consulting services, including assessment, design, and implementation of modern secure networking environments
• Develop and maintain technical deliverables including network assessments, capacity planning, detailed design documents, implementation/test plans configuration templates and scripts
• Prioritizing efforts based on business needs and requirements.
• Develop alerting, respond to alerts, and perform root cause analysis of critical outages and incidents
