Job Overview

We seek a highly experienced and technically adept Senior Mechanical HVAC Engineer, PE to join our dynamic team in Orange, CA. In this senior-level role, you will lead the design and coordination of complex mechanical systems—including HVAC, plumbing, and piping—for a wide range of commercial, institutional, and industrial projects. As a licensed Professional Engineer, you will provide technical direction, mentor junior staff, and be a trusted advisor to clients and project stakeholders. Your work will directly impact the delivery of high-efficiency, sustainable building systems that set a new standard for performance and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead mechanical system design for HVAC, plumbing, piping, and medical gas systems across diverse building types, ensuring code compliance and performance excellence.
  • Manage full project lifecycles—from conceptual design through construction administration—while balancing budgets, schedules, and deliverables.
  • Oversee and mentor engineering staff, ensuring quality control, knowledge transfer, and collaborative problem-solving across all project phases.
  • Act as the technical point of contact for clients, contractors, and consultants, representing the firm with professionalism and subject matter expertise.
  • Support construction activities by reviewing submittals, responding to RFIs, resolving field issues, and verifying installation accuracy.
  • Promote sustainability and innovation in mechanical design through the integration of energy-efficient technologies and green building practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in California (required).
  • Minimum 10 years of mechanical design experience, with a focus on HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems for large-scale commercial and institutional buildings.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and lead cross-functional teams.
  • Advanced proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and Bluebeam.
  • Demonstrated experience working within the Southern California construction environment.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and client-facing skills.
  • LEED Accreditation or demonstrated knowledge of sustainable design best practices is a plus.

Why Join Us?

  • Work on high-profile, technically challenging projects throughout Southern California.
  • Join a collaborative and forward-thinking team committed to engineering excellence.
  • Competitive salary plus benefits and potential bonuses.
  • Growth opportunities in project leadership and firm-wide strategic initiatives.

Equal Employment Opportunity
