Job Description

An exciting opportunity is available for a part-time Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support K-12 students in an elementary school setting. This contract role spans the 2025-2026 school year and is located in Spring, TX. The position focuses on providing therapeutic support under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to help enhance students' communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the implementation of speech and language therapy plans tailored for K-12 students, with an emphasis on elementary-aged children
  • Conduct therapy sessions focusing on speech sound production, language comprehension, and social communication skills
  • Monitor student progress, document therapy activities, and maintain detailed records in compliance with educational standards
  • Collaborate closely with licensed Speech-Language Pathologists, teachers, and other staff to support individualized education programs (IEPs)
  • Engage with students in a manner that fosters a positive and supportive learning environment

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current certification or licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
  • Experience working in school settings, preferably within K-12 environments
  • Strong understanding of speech and language development in children
