Location: Carlisle, PA 17013
Employment Type: Full-Time (Monday to Friday)
Salary: starts at $24 an hour (based on education and education)

Your Role as a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLP-A):

· Work side-by-side with our Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to prepare engaging materials and carry out individualized treatment plans.

· Help students strengthen their communication skills (whether that’s building expressive and receptive language, supporting verbal expression, or using augmentative communication tools).

· Track progress during sessions and share updates with the SLP to celebrate wins and make adjustments when needed.

· Bring therapy plans to life through fun, purposeful activities and positive behavior support strategies.

· Collaborate with caregivers and the student’s care team to ensure we’re all working toward the same goals.

· Keep our therapy space stocked and organized so sessions run smoothly.

· Promote a positive, respectful environment by upholding student privileges and responsibilities.

Required Qualifications:

· Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Sciences and Disorders, or closely related field.

· Must meet Pennsylvania State Board requirements for SLP-Assistants; supervisor will register your position within thirty (30) days of hire.

· Comfortable working under direct supervision, with at least 25% of each session observed by the supervising SLP.

· Adherence to the assistant scope of practice, including not making diagnostic or treatment decisions independently.
