About the work: How We Work :Each team member plays a key role in different steps of our client service process, from onboarding through to filing and project completion.We all work together to ensure that our clients are served at the highest level. Tax Preparation – Responsibility for the entire process, from initial review of client documents, to creation of organized logical workpapers, management of additional information required, draft returns, changes, and completion. Transactional Accounting – General accounting, including preparation of court accountings, Profit & Loss Statements, Year End Planning, beneficiary distributions, etc. Client Services – Ensuring clients are receiving the intended value of the services provided through consistent communication and follow up. Developing client and referral relationships through networking and partner lunches. Deadline Management – Reference internal project calendar and understand the sequence of events necessary for project completion, ensuring all deadlines are met. Must haves: Strong attention to detail Ability to think and respond proactively Bachelor’s Degree 4+ years of tax compliance experience in public accounting in the preparation of individual income tax returns Knowledge of tax and accounting software systems (QuickBooks, Quicken, Excel, Lacerte) We'd love to see: CPA or EA credentialed 2 years of Trust and Estate taxation experience Experience in the preparation of court accountings Schedule and Location: Full-time (flexible schedule). We are located in Banker’s Hill, San Diego 92103. This is a remote and/or remote hybrid position.
