As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal in an educational setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a welcoming presence for students, staff, and visitors. Pay Rate: $17.30 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients, faculty, students, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for educational environments.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout campus buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter unauthorized access and report suspicious behavior or activities.
  • Document and report all incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal and client protocols.
  • Assist with access control procedures, including verifying identification and granting entry to authorized individuals as required by site-specific guidelines.
  • Support emergency response drills and participate in training sessions to maintain readiness for various situations that may arise within an educational location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
