As a Security Officer – Government Site - Morning Shift in Reno, NV , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a vital role in supporting a secure environment within a government location. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols throughout the premises, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and responding promptly to any situations as they arise. You will interact with employees, visitors, and other stakeholders, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication at all times. What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, taking appropriate action based on the situation.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor for suspicious activity and report any security-related incidents or hazards to the appropriate authorities.
  • Maintain a visible presence throughout assigned areas to help to deter potential threats and provide reassurance to employees and visitors.
  • Assist with access control by verifying credentials and/or authorizations for entry into restricted areas.
  • Document observations and/or incidents in written reports in accordance with Allied Universal and client requirements.
  • Support emergency response activities, which may include evacuations, medical emergencies, or other critical situations at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Graduate of a Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or equivalent is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • An Armed Guard Card or License is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
