School Bookkeeper/Secretary

Reports To: Principal

Length Of Contract Or Work Year: 9-11 months (187-220 days)

Specific Job Responsibilities:

• Maintains complete and accurate financial data for the school.
• Processes all purchase orders and vouchers for the school.
• Maintains all activity accounts.
• Collects, counts and receipts all money.
• Makes deposits in a timely manner.
• Submits all necessary reports to the Finance Director in a timely manner.
• Adherence to the Mississippi Educator Code of Ethics/Standards of Conduct.
• Greets visitors in a professional, courteous manner.
• Creates a welcoming environment for students, parents, staff, and other stakeholders of the school.
• Foster an attitude of positive customer service representing a commitment to professionalism.
• Any other duties as assigned by the principal and/or assistant principal(s).

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma.
• Accounting or bookkeeping experience
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel

Desirable Qualifications:

• A degree in accounting or business related field.
