Scheduler

Saginaw, MI

The Planner/Scheduler is responsible for creating, maintaining, and optimizing schedules for projects, ensuring efficient resource utilization and meeting deadlines. Examine project plans, develop schedules, and make recommendations for productivity improvements and cost reduction. The role also involves adhering to safety regulations and labor agreements, and adjusting schedules as needed.

Responsibilities

• Focus on scheduling of engineering projects
• Work closely with internal scheduling and general maintenance
• Use SAP to help bridge the gap between contract resources and maintenance resources
• Develop and maintain schedules
• Resource Planning: Identify and track resource needs (personnel, equipment, materials).
• Work Planning for a project
• Analyze schedules for potential cost savings and productivity improvements.
• Collaborate with project managers, team members, and other departments to ensure smooth execution of plans.
• Identify and address potential schedule conflicts or bottlenecks.
• Provide reports and analysis on project progress, resource utilization, and scheduling

Requirements

• 5+ years experience in Industrial or Chemical environment
• Experience with SAP required
• Resource loading with internal staffing and contractor partners
• Understanding staffing constraints and project timing
• Understanding of engineering disciplines and capital workflow
• Experience with MS Project preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to work independently and as part of a team.
