Who we are: Ohio Valley Wine & Beer (a subsidiary of Heidelberg Distributing) was established in 1938 and has grown to be the largest wine, beer, and spirits distributor in the state of Ohio. We proudly distribute the finest, beer, wine, spirits and non-alcoholic beverages to retailers, restaurants, and bars across Ohio and into Kentucky for over 80 years.
Job Summary
Responsible for advancing and securing sales in assigned territory using sales to grow Market Share and Revenue. Must perform sales functions to develop new account business and support current customer needs in assigned sales territory. Must meet and exceed standards set forth by Corporate Leadership.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities and Expectations
Drive Sales by using established procedures and guidelines to promote and sell the organization's product portfolio
Pre-plan daily to maximize sales and pursue vetted sales leads.
Maximize and maintain visibility with customers to assess their needs and suggest appropriate products and services.
Deliver internal and external stakeholder satisfaction and achieve strategic goals set forth by management. Develop sales skills, product knowledge and company services by utilizing internal sales training and tools from company sponsored resources.
Qualifications and Requirements
Must have 3 years Sales territory management.
Must have 3 years Fine Wine Experience.
Must have valid driver's license, meet all motor vehicle requirements and must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
Must be proficient with use of Microsoft Office, Excel, Power Point, and iPad.
Exceptional organizational, time management, interpersonal and intrapersonal skills are required.
Certified Specialist of Wine (CSW) credentials preferred.
Certified Specialist of Spirits (CSS) credentials preferred.
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, employee is required to stand, balance, walk, climb stairs, sit, use hands to feel and handle objects, tools or controls including standard office equipment such as computers, phones, etc. Reach with hands and arms, talk, hear, and have specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to focus.
Must be able to lift 35 pounds.
Must be able to work in adverse weather conditions and wide temperature variations.
Must be able to work flexible hours through the week and sometimes weekends.
