Job Description
Lakeside Surfaces is hiring a Sales Manager to lead and strengthen our sales team. This role is for a hands-on leader who thrives on sales best practices, team accountability, and consistent execution. You will coach and develop our sales team, drive performance through clear expectations and metrics, and ensure we deliver a reliable, high-quality experience to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
● Lead the day-to-day performance of the sales team, ensuring activity, pipeline, and results stay on track.
● Establish and reinforce sales best practices, including CRM discipline, follow-up standards, quoting standards, and consistent pipeline management.
● Set clear goals and expectations, then coach to them through regular 1:1s, team huddles (L10s), and performance feedback.
● Drive accountability through scorecards, KPI tracking, and proactive problem-solving.
● Partner with leadership on account planning, territory planning, pricing coordination, and growth priorities.
● Strengthen key customer relationships and ensure a high-touch, professionalexperience across the wholesale journey.
● Collaborate cross-functionally with operations and leadership to improve handoffs, communication, and overall execution.
● Spend time in the field as needed to support the team, visit accounts, and reinforce standards.
Qualifications:
● Proven experience leading a sales team with a strong focus on process, accountability, and performance.
● Experience supporting B2B sales efforts. Experience in building materials, manufacturing, or a related industry is a plus.
● Strong coaching ability and a leadership style that blends high standards with people development.
● Advanced CRM and reporting skills to drive visibility, execution, and performance management.
● Clear communication, strong follow-through, and the ability to lead through change.
● Customer-first mindset and commitment to doing what is right.
