Job Description

LEMOINE, a Great Place to Work-Certified company , is currently seeking a Safety Manager. The Safety Manager will support construction crews by visiting project sites and assessing working conditions. The Safety Manager will help identify safety-related issues and risks on project sites. Once risks are identified, they work with the project leadership to design solutions to mitigate the exposure to those risks.

Location: Monroe & Shreveport Area

Job Responsibilities:
  1. Inspects the project sites to identify safety risks.
  2. Develops and implements inspection policies and procedures, and a schedule of routine inspections.
  3. Prepares and schedules training to cover emergency procedures, workplace safety, and other relevant topics.
  4. Monitors compliance with safety procedures.
  5. Supports safety programs by conducting Audits, JSA's, and program development activities.
  6. Drafts inspection reports to document inspection findings.
  7. Ensures that safety material is maintained and readily accessible when needed.
  8. Conducts on-the-job training for associates.
  9. Performs Incident Investigations.
  10. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor's degree in environmental safety, Occupational Safety, and Health, or related field required.
  2. BSCP: STSC certified.
  3. Five years of related experience preferred.
  4. Efficient in the use of software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Professional. Ability to learn Safety software.
  5. Excellent interpersonal skills in fostering and maintaining relationships in a project team environment.
  6. Excellent communication skills, especially in written correspondence and technical writing.
Physical Requirements:
  1. Physically able to conduct inspections and carry equipment used for inspections.
  2. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  3. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time.
