We welcome all healthcare professionals to join our thriving community and contribute to our pursuit for clinical excellence.Position ResponsibilitiesStates name andamp; informs patient on where they are to be transportedUses proper body mechanics when positioning, lifting, turning, and ambulating patientsAssists in care and maintenance of department equipment, wheelchairs and stretchers and ensure equipment is clean and in safe operating conditionsNotifies nursing staff when patient is leaving the unit and when patient returns back to the unitEnsures that patient's chart is alongside when being transportedAssures all transports are completed within the time parameters assignmentsCollects all specimens and blood products and safety delivers to the receiving departmentDemonstrates a positive attitude when transporting andamp; speaking to patientsChecks all oxygen cylinders prior to transport to assure tanks are full and are in safe conditionCorrectly checks in and out of the patient transport system, and input the correct pager number when checking into workMaintains CPR CertificationQualificationsCPR required or must be obtained while in training.High School Diploma or GED preferred.Customer service ability develop cooperative working relationship with other staff members and all other personnel.Ability to transport patients in a safe efficient and professional manner.Ability to operate portable radio.Skills in reading and writing Standard English text.Benefits:We believe in the physical and mental well-being of our employees and are committed to offering comprehensive benefits that fit their personal needs.
