The Opportunity

Under the direction of the Real Estate attorneys in our Boston office, this position will assist attorneys in all aspects of commercial real estate transactions, including documentation, due diligence, closing and post-closing activities for real estate acquisitions, dispositions, and leasing.

This is a hybrid role, 3 days onsite.

The Day-To-Day

On any given day, you will:

  • Order and review title commitments, exception documents and surveys and prepare title objection letters, interfacing directly with the title company and surveyor to resolve any issues or discrepancies.
  • Prepare and administer contract critical dates and closing checklists.
  • Coordinate and assist with all aspects of closings, including preparation of draft conveyance documents, closing statements, consents, certificates and other closing documents.
  • Attend to all post-closing requirements, including preparation of closing indices, the preparation and organization of closing binders, and monitoring all post-closing deliveries or requirements.
  • Prepare clear and concise correspondence and memorandum.
  • Prepare initial draft documents, amendments to various agreements and/or leases and miscellaneous documents, including estoppel certificates, SNDAs and memoranda of lease, for attorney review.
  • Order good standings, form new entities, obtain UCC lien and other searches.
You Have
  • Bachelor's degree, paralegal and real estate certification preferred.
  • At least ten (10) years previous experience in complex commercial real estate transactions, including experience with acquisitions, dispositions, and leasing.
  • Advanced title and survey experience required including complex title analysis and objection.
  • Law firm and in-house experience will be considered, but preference given to large firm experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, Outlook or similar e-mail/calendar technology.
  • Knowledge of relevant databases.
  • Strong writing, organizational, and communication skills and attention to detail required.

Location Specific Language

The salary range for this role is $110,000. to $125,000. annually, which is based on a 40 hour work week. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Boston. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee's pay within the salary range will be based on numerous factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, and business or organizational needs. This job is also eligible for an annual merit increase and bonus pay.
