Job Title: Night Security Guard

Location: Redwood Science Laboratory, Pacific Southwest Research Station, 1700 Bayview Drive, Arcata, CA 95521.

Job Type: Full-time Position

Schedule: Night Shift (2100-0500), 7 days a week, including all Federal Holidays

Duties:

• Conduct regular patrols and surveillance of the designated perimeter areas, equipment, and structures to prevent trespassing, damage, or theft of property.
• Question individuals found trespassing on the property and take appropriate actions as necessary.
• Maintain constant vigilance and observe all activities within sight or hearing to identify any unusual or suspicious behavior.
• Report all incidents, violations, or security breaches promptly to the designated point of contact.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in security or law enforcement preferred.
• Strong observational and surveillance skills, with the ability to remain vigilant and alert during night shifts.
• Physical fitness and ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
