Job Summary: As a Mobile Dental Care Assistant, your primary responsibility will be to assist patients and dentists with dental care while ensuring a supportive and efficient environment. We’re looking for a detail-oriented individual with a passion for patient care and service excellence. This role requires travel up to 100% of the time.

Essential Job Functions:

• Assist the dentist with patient care in a courteous and efficient manner.
• Perform pretesting duties and maintain accurate clinical records using electronic medical records.
• Ensure the proper care and cleaning of medical equipment.
• Support the clean-up of service areas post-visit.
• Assist with patient transportation and ensure a smooth flow during facility visits.
• Demonstrate exceptional customer service skills and maintain effective communication with patients, families, and staff.
• Document patient interactions and inquiries in the EMR promptly.
• Adhere to all compliance protocols and maintain confidentiality per HIPAA guidelines.
• Update patient records and ensure the integrity of all documentation.
• Prepare and supply dental instruments efficiently during procedures.
• Manage equipment and troubleshoot any issues, reporting them to the appropriate resources.
• Inspect and maintain vehicle appearance and undertake basic maintenance tasks.
• Monitor and manage dental inventory levels, placing orders as needed.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide engaging information about their care.
• React positively to change and perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED.
• Experience as a Medical/Dental Assistant is preferred.
• Good driving record, reliable transportation, and valid car insurance are essential.
• Must complete and pass a two-step Tuberculosis (TB) Skin Test.
• Hepatitis B and Flu vaccinations are preferred.
• State radiation license or certificate is required.
• Proficient computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to follow directions.

Physical Demands:

This role requires a full range of motion, including manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, standing, walking, pushing, and stooping. You should be able to lift over 50 pounds and push patients in wheelchairs. Additionally, corrected vision and hearing to a normal level are necessary. The position may involve exposure to communicable diseases or bodily fluids.
