Summary :The Medical Assistant Instructor reports to the Director of Non-Credit Healthcare Programs who will assign program hours and location. The medical assistant instructor provides academic instruction and student academic support for the medical assistant program. The instructor is responsible for delivery of the approved curriculum.Medical Assistant coursework includes one or more of the following content areas: clinical skills, pharmacology, medical billing and coding, medical records, human resources, medical administration, anatomy and physiology, and pathology.
Travel Requirements:Position requires limited local travel; employee must have access to transportation.

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have the ability to use Internet software, spreadsheet software, Microsoft Office applications word processing software. The individual must be willing and able to learn other software programs required to perform the essential duties, including LMS instructor training.
Communication Skills:Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one on one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Reasoning Ability:Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
Mathematical Skills:Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
