Western Colorado’s premier healthcare facility, Valley View Hospital, is seeking a qualified and experienced individual to work in our Facilities Management department as a full-time Maintenance Engineer. This position performs preventative maintenance and repairs of equipment and assists with inspection of the building, grounds, and equipment.

Must have good mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Team player and great customer service is required. Rotating on-call, rotating weekends, and rotating holidays. Applicants must have previous experience and skill set in one or more trades (e.g., drywall, electrical, carpentry, mechanical, plumbing, etc.), with electrical/electrician experience preferred. Previous hospital experience highly preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Certification or licensure in one or more trades utilized in maintenance of the facility preferred.

Experience:

• Experience and skill set in one or more trades required (e.g., drywall, electrical, carpentry, mechanical, plumbing, etc.).
• Good mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills required.
• Previous hospital experience preferred.
• Team player and exceptional customer service skills required.
• Clean driver's license is required. Must be insurable by company insurance carrier.

SALARY

• Entry salary dependent upon education, skill-set, and experience.
• Wage range: $23.88 - $35.12/hour
