Sourcing Analyst

• Performs rapid sourcing activities by ensuring the application of fair business practices and consistent procurement of products and services at the best execution and best price.
• Shepherds engagements through the defined sourcing triage process, resolving issues and involving stakeholders as needed
• Focuses on low- and medium-complexity sourcing transactions
• Interfaces heavily with other Sourcing Operations teams (RFx, Contracting), business owners, and legal & risk partners as needed for each transaction van
• Supports crew adherence to procurement policies and procedures
• Ensures proper closure of transaction including: Successful handoff to Purchasing and Payables associates; Validation that supplier will comply with agreed-upon payment terms; Contracting team receives documents in good order for catalogue and storage
• Adheres to goals, examines ways to raise standards, and improve overall performance of the department
• Supports departmental process and technology initiatives
• Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned
• Undergraduate degree in business or related field preferred or equivalent combination of training and experience
• Preferred five years general business experience and five years of experience buying goods/services including contract negotiations
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Experience with Financial support systems and e-commerce
• Experience working with all levels of an organization (internal and external)

We have an exciting opportunity for a Sourcing Analyst to join IT Professional Services. We partner with IT sub-division leaders to assure the successful use of Vanguard’s sourcing partnerships to deliver technology solutions.

What you will do

• Performs contract administration activities for technology sourcing engagements for the aligned IT sub-division and contributes expertise to create contracts to enable the delivery of technology projects.
• Acts as a liaison between Supplier Partners and IT clients concerning project issues and action plans.
• Advocates on behalf of Vanguard with IT suppliers to coordinate the resolution of client issues.
• Supports proper governance and oversight of the technology sourcing portfolio for the aligned IT sub-division.
• Manages technology sourcing engagement issue identification, escalation and resolution with supplier partners.
• Represents sub divisional interests at supplier partner governance meetings at the sub-divisional and divisional level.
