House Supervisor (RN) – Night Shift | Montford Unit (Lubbock, TX)

Location: Lubbock, Texas

Organization: Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) Managed Care

Schedule: 4 Days On / 4 Days Off | 10-Hour Night Shifts (8:00 PM – 6:00 AM)

Open Positions:

• 1 RN House Supervisor for Regional Medical Facility (RMF)

• 1 RN House Supervisor for Psychiatric Services

As a House Supervisor (RN) at the Montford Unit , you'll play a vital leadership role in overseeing night operations at either our Regional Medical Facility (RMF) or Psychiatric Unit , ensuring high-quality care, nursing excellence, and operational efficiency throughout the night shift.

What You’ll Do:

As a House Supervisor, you’ll ensure smooth and effective after-hours operations by:

• Supporting bedside care, performing procedures and assessments, and documenting in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) .
• Acting as a key communicator and liaison , attending leadership meetings and cascading information to night shift staff.
• Monitoring documentation to support decision-making and promote optimal patient outcomes .
• Upholding nursing standards and promoting accountability among staff.
• Assisting with efficient staff scheduling and being involved in disciplinary processes as needed.
• Overseeing and participating in the after-hours triage program .
• Responding to medical and psychiatric emergencies as needed.
• Serving as the after-hours point of contact for Utilization Management and TDCJ .
• Conducting audits and contributing to data reports and performance analysis.
• Supporting onboarding of new nursing staff and ensuring they are well-prepared for night operations.
• Carrying out other duties as assigned by the Regional Director of Nursing or Nurse Managers .

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN license in the State of Texas or ability to obtain a Texas license.
• At least 4 years experience in nursing, with at least 2 of those in a supervisory capacity.
