Job Description
Ka'ala Systems Technology Corporation has an open position for a Functional System Administrator supporting the Headquarters Pacific Air Force (HQ PACAF) Financial Management (FM) Directorate located at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam (JBPHH), Hawaii .
Candidates must be able to perform the following functions and be familiar with associated systems :
Provide Functional System Administrator Support. Functions include but are not limited to the following:
Provide internet and world-wide web based support for HQ PACAF/FM and related financial systems.
Provide software support and establish internet connectivity when required includes, but is not limited to the following:
o Command Budget Accounting System (CBAS) o Program Budget Accounting System (PBAS)
o Automated Business Service System (ABSS)
o Defense Travel System (DTS)
o Obligation Adjustment Reporting System (OARS)
o Defense Enterprise Accounting and Management System (DEAMS)
o Automated Time Attendance and Production System (ATAAPS)
o Defense Civilian Personnel Data System (DCPDS)
o Financial Management Suite (FMSuite)
Analyze, diagnose and correct all computer, printers, Thin Clients, KVM Switches, audio/visual equipment system errors and operational problems. Contractor shall coordinate with their management or other vendors on systems hardware, software, network, and communication interface issues to achieve the optimal system performance and reliability.
Provide assistance in integrating user PCs, other networks, and host systems with FM systems.
Manage network user accounts, workstation system configuration, and printers.
Provide computer hardware and software support to FM.
Ensure automated daily Server backup system is functioning properly.
Monitor file server hard disk usage, available capacity, and notify directorate management if space becomes critical.
Manage the FM webpage/Share Point to include design, modification, and inclusion of downloadable files in compliance with Air Force Portal design standards as defined by AF/A6.
Communicate problems to various functional help desks to resolve FM user problems and shall work with Host Base Communications and Information Squadron on connectivity issues.

Perform Computer Systems Security
Assist the Base Network Security Officer and the Directorate Computer Systems Security Officer (CSSO) in performing and maintaining network risk analysis as required by AF System Security Instructions (AFSSI). Ensure network operating system and operating environment and procedures are in compliance with applicable regulations and approved risk analysis.

Take all precautions to safeguard computer servers against unauthorized access.
Identify information ownership for each multi-user system to include accountability, access rights, and special handling requirements.
Ensure only those personnel with validated clearances, who have completed required information security training, and need-to-know are allowed access to the computer systems.
Ensure FM personnel have access levels to computer systems based on supervisor approval and systems guidance
Randomly check computer systems for security, Internet, and password violations, and keep the Comptroller informed of any changes in procedures and policies.
Perform anti-virus software checks on all hard drives, diskettes, and other storage devices.
Provide Computer Training for FM Users. Provide basic computer operation skills training to all FM employees.
o Teach and explain to co-workers and management the importance of computer security, violations, and ramifications of non-compliance with network security procedures.
o Provide computer system security training to the functional terminal area security office (TASO) and each section chief to ensure proper procedures are followed and to avoid security violations and compromises of the Network.
o Teach how to change all computer passwords and explain the rules for selecting them.
o Attend all Air Force local training on computer security and comply with AFCERT requirements to upgrade anti-virus software.
o Provide FM personnel information on the rules that govern the proper use of government computers, networks, and Internet usage.
o Develop continuity procedures and folders and train FM personnel to ensure continuity of System Administrator functions/duties during periods of short absences (e.g., sick days, leave, etc.)
o Explain highly technical subject matter to internal and external customers and adapt explanations in language to personnel who are not proficient in computer terminology.
Ensure Automatic Data Processing Equipment (ADPE) is properly managed, controlled, and accounted for in accordance with AFMAN 17-1203 and local directives.
Develop the reports listed below in accordance with the below schedule, additional reports may be requested as deemed necessary.

Secret Security Clearance
Qualified in web-page/SharePoint and office management
Security + certification
Certified in Active Directory and Exchange Mail
Knowledge of Infrastructure Routers and Switches
Virtual Machine (VMWare) for Windows 2016 Servers and Windows 10 Workstations
Knowledge of network tools: BCWipe, SDelete, PassWord Reset, HIREM, DART, Avamar backup system for VMWare Servers
