Job Overview:
Empire Home Remodeling is seeking motivated and outgoing individuals to join our canvassing team. As a canvasser, you will play a key role in driving new business by engaging with homeowners in designated neighborhoods, introducing our services, and scheduling free, no-obligation consultations (demos) with our sales team. This is an entry-level position with opportunities for performance-based bonuses and growth within the company.
Responsibilities:
• Canvass residential neighborhoods to generate interest in Empire Home Remodeling services
• Engage professionally with homeowners and communicate the benefits of our home improvement solutions
• Set qualified appointments (demos) for the sales team
• Accurately record and submit lead information
• Meet minimum productivity standards (demos and issued leads)
• Represent the company brand positively in the community
• Report to the team lead or canvassing manager for performance updates and route planning
Requirements:
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Positive attitude and goal-oriented mindset
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable transportation and punctuality
• Must be comfortable working outdoors and walking for extended periods
• Must maintain a minimum set-to-issue ratio of 50% (e.g., 5 issued leads out of every 10 written)
• Canvassers should aim to operate at 10 hours per demo or less
Compensation:
Base Pay:
• $15/hour, paid bi-weekly
Bonus Pay (Performance-Based Demo Incentives):
• 1 demo per week = $50 per demo
• 3 demos per week = $75 per demo
• 6 demos or more per week = $100 per demo
Example:
In a 30-hour work week, canvassers are expected to generate a minimum of 3 demos, resulting in $225 in bonus pay in addition to base pay if the threshold is met.
Performance Expectations:
• Minimum of 1 demo every 10 hours
• 30-hour work week = minimum of 3 demos
• Set-to-issue ratio of 50% or higher (at least 5 issued leads out of every 10 written)
