Your friendly, safe driving can change someone’s whole day.
About the Role: As a Span Driver, you’ll operate our buses, high-roof vans, and minivans to provide safe, non-emergency rides for neighbors across Denton County—to medical appointments, grocery trips, and other essential destinations. You’ll work a route-based schedule and deliver warm, reliable service at every stop. Because this is a safety-sensitive position, employment includes routine DOT/FTA-required screenings, training, and certifications to keep you—and our riders—safe.

Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly exposed to vibration. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and outside weather conditions. The employee is exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the environment is loud. Employee may be exposed to patterns of lights and darkness normally experienced while driving (i.e. traffic lights, headlights, shadows, etc.).
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee is regularly required to walk and sit. The employee is occasionally required to stand, climb or balance and push, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee is frequently required to lift up to 50 pounds. Assisting wheelchair passengers into Span vehicles may require physical exertion, pushing or bearing substantial weight (100-200+ pounds), or unusual movement. The vision requirements include: ability to adjust focus, depth perception, peripheral vision, distance vision and close vision.
