Direct Counsel is seeking a Document Review Attorney with experience in environmental law preferred, but not required, for a temporary project. The ideal candidate will have a strong legal background, excellent analytical skills, and experience reviewing legal documents related to environmental regulations, compliance, and litigation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct document review using e-discovery platforms.
• Analyze and categorize legal documents for relevance, privilege, and key issues.
• Review environmental law-related documents, including contracts, regulatory filings, permits, correspondence, and litigation materials.
• Identify and flag confidential, privileged, or sensitive information.
• Collaborate with legal teams to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
• Summarize findings and assist in case preparation.

Qualifications:

• J.D. degree from an accredited law school.
• Active bar license in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• Experience in environmental law (litigation, regulatory compliance, or policy preferred).
• Prior document review experience using platforms like Relativity, Everlaw, or DISCO is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Job Details:

• Duration: Temporary (20+ hours - varies based on project needs).
• Compensation: $40.00 hourly rate.
