Shuttle Dispatcher

Pay: $17.50 - $20.50
Job Type: On Call
Location: Perris, CA
Shift & Schedule: Flex shifts depending on openings

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist drivers over the radio call.
  • Detailed data entry on Microsoft Excel.
  • Respond to safety emergencies efficiently.
  • Direct the day-to- day route operations of transit drivers.
  • Keep compliance with the procedures defined by the client and in conformance with company procedures.
  • Daily communication and interaction with drivers and Clients Centers coordinators.
  • Organize and conduct activities to assure safe, cost-effective, and on-time operating performance by all drivers.
  • Receive, transmit, and track messages from the drivers and from the Client
  • Address problems and provide solutions in a timely manner.
  • Use radio communication, answer phone calls from the client, set up tablets for drivers, and use computer to send messages to drivers and clients.
  • Read google maps for driver directions and locations.
  • Direct the activities of the frontline staff.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
Non-Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Other special projects as assigned by location management.
  • Coordinate with other departments., such as fire department, police department, and emergency medical service.
  • Obtain relevant information from callers., for example addresses, phone numbers, names, ages of family members, etc.
  • Assist with monthly data entry.
  • Monitor drivers On-time Performance.
  • Handle passenger's complaints.
  • Scheduling and routing.
  • Provide great phone customer service.
Minimum Job Qualifications
  • We are looking to fill 2 Dispatcher Position for our Fix route services.
  • We are looking for an individual who have some experience in public transportation.
  • We are looking for an individual who can multi-task since this person will be responsible for
  • Dispatching: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Ability to communicate in Spanish a plus (Not Required)
  • You are at least 23 years old.
  • High school diploma required.
  • Fixed Route operations experience preferred.
  • Customer Service experience.
Skills
  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively.
  • Strong computer skills (ability to operate specific software programs) and handheld devices.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, multi-faceted work environment.
  • Must be able to work unsupervised.
  • Ability to speak, read and comprehend the English (Spanish lis a plus but Not Required)
  • Must be able to make decisions independently.
  • Demonstrate a sense of urgency and timeliness.

  • Leer y usar Google Maps para orientar a los conductores y ubicar direcciones.

  • Capacidad para comunicarse en español: deseable, pero no obligatoria.
  • Tener al menos 23 años de edad.
