Desktop Support Technician Opportunity

We're seeking a Desktop Support Technician for an immediate contract opportunity on the east side of Madison, WI. You'll be part of a hands-on, dynamic environment supporting new clinic setup, device deployments, and day-to-day troubleshooting.

What You'll Do:

• Deploy PCs, monitors, printers, and ensure devices are connected and properly cabled
• Support network connectivity and maintain clean, organized cable management
• Perform limited software installations and troubleshoot hardware issues
• Respond to help desk tickets and assist end users onsite
• Clean out equipment and decommission the old

Environment: Supporting a subset of a larger 1,000+ end user organization

Must-Haves:

• Experience supporting Office 365, Windows OS, and Microsoft tools in mid to large environments
• Strong ticketing system use and clear documentation skills
• Understanding of asset management and the importance of accurate tracking
• Excellent customer service skills and professional, friendly bedside manner

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience providing desktop support in mid to large-scale environments
• Proficiency in Windows 10, Active Directory, and Microsoft Office 365
• Experience with desktop imaging and workstation support
• Familiarity with service desk ticketing systems and accurate documentation practices
• Strong understanding of asset management and tracking processes
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues efficiently
• Excellent communication and customer service skills, with a detail-oriented demeanor
• Capability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and carrying equipment
