This is an on-site part time position.

About Us:

At M.A. Tile & Stone Design, we cater to top San Diego designers and specialize in high-end residential and custom commercial projects nationwide. From Moroccan to contemporary styles and everything in between, we take pride in bringing exceptional design visions to life.

Our boutique showroom operates by appointment only, allowing us to provide a personalized, focused experience for each client. As an ASID Industry Partner with over 25 years of expertise, we are dedicated to supporting the design community with curated materials and exceptional service.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a Design Associate who is a team player, highly organized, and eager to learn about specialty tile and stone. This entry-level position offers hands-on experience with the potential to grow into a full-time role, including client project design and custom order support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support customer and designer meetings by taking notes, photos, videos, and creating visual summaries using Google Workspace.
• Provide excellent customer service: answer phones, update clients on order status, and price out tile and stone options.
• Assist design professionals with product selections that meet specific design requirements.
• Check and manage sample orders and assist in customizing tile displays.
• Contribute to social media efforts — including monthly blog posts, Instagram Reels, and updates on new products, tile lines, and jobsite visits.

Qualifications:

• Current student or recent graduate in Interior Design preferred.
• Familiarity with interior design trends is a plus.
• Proficiency in Google Workplace (Slides & Drive) and general computer skills is a must.
• Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
• Customer service experience is beneficial.
• QuickBooks knowledge is a plus, but not required.
