Project Overview:
This role supports the Equities Business Control team within a major financial institution. The primary responsibility is to perform data analysis on operational risk data to evaluate and enhance the effectiveness of existing controls and support regulatory and enterprise-wide remediation efforts.

Key Responsibilities:
Analyze large datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities to optimize operational controls across the Equities line of business.

Ensure compliance with Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) enterprise data policies and procedures.

Identify and resolve data quality issues; assist in regulatory remediation projects tied to data management.

Measure data management risk, assess control effectiveness, and recommend improvements.

Support the identification and escalation of key and emerging operational risks.

Create and deliver project status updates and performance summaries to key stakeholders and control teams.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including risk, compliance, and regulatory reporting groups.

Top Skills & Qualifications:
Advanced Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, Macros); experience handling large, complex spreadsheets.

Strong understanding of regulatory reporting requirements, especially FR 2052a, Y-14, and other FRB-related reports.

Experience with operational risk analysis, with the ability to connect data insights to business impact and control optimization.

Proficiency in PowerPoint for creating presentations and communicating findings to stakeholders.
