We are looking for an experienced Controller to join our team in Kirkland, Washington. This role is ideal for someone who excels in financial management, accounting operations, and team leadership. As a key member of our organization, you will oversee critical financial activities while driving process improvements and ensuring compliance with internal controls.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyze comprehensive financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, providing actionable insights through variance analysis.

• Manage accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable processing, reconciliations, journal entries, and intercompany transactions.

• Collaborate with department managers to develop budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial projections.

• Ensure adherence to accounting policies and internal controls, preparing audit work papers and coordinating with external auditors and tax advisors.

• Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering their growth and maintaining a collaborative team environment.

• Optimize property management and accounting software, evaluating system capabilities and implementing improvements where necessary.

• Process payroll as needed, ensuring all transactions are accurate and compliant.

• Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy within financial workflows.

• Act as a trusted advisor to leadership, providing insights and recommendations to support organizational goals.

The salary range for this position is $112,000 to $149,000.

• Proven experience in financial reporting, analysis, and accounting operations.
• Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and multi-year financial planning.
• Expertise in internal controls, compliance, and audit preparation.
• Proficiency with accounting software such as Sage 300, Yardi, or similar platforms.
• Solid leadership skills with the ability to mentor and manage a team effectively.
• Familiarity with commercial real estate and related financial processes.
• Excellent organizational skills, including document control and scanning.
• Demonstrated ability to identify and implement process improvements.
