What you will do -
- Manage all accounting and financial-reporting functions to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company policy, GAAP, and other rules and regulations
- Lead, manage, and hold the Accounting team accountable across the entire platform
- Supervise and review the preparation of consolidated monthly and annual financial statements
- Manage the preparation, consolidation and filing of all reports for both internal as well as external stakeholders
- Coordinate annual financial audit, and bank and inventory exams
- Implement and maintain adequate accounting and internal controls as well as effective disclosure controls and procedures
- Coordinate the preparation and filing of the Company’s annual tax returns (federal, state, and local jurisdictions) with external CPA firm
- Analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial results
- Drive efficiency, automation, and effective scalability within the accounting function
- Assist in the management of the Treasury function and cash projection forecast for the entire platform of businesses
- Identify and implement career-training needs and opportunities to foster the development of the team while proactively identifying and fulfilling accounting staffing needs
- Work with the CFO in preparing budgets and other financial planning initiatives
- Support department leaders by arming them with accurate financial data to effectively lead each function of the business
- Assist with various financial modeling processes in conjunction with company forecasts and the analysis of business opportunities
- Provide operating and analytical reporting to upper management
- Manage and lead systems related projects
- Additional duties as assigned related to the above
What you will bring –
- Bachelor’s Degree with concentration in Accounting or Business, preferred
- CPA, highly preferred
- 10+ years of accounting experience
- 8+ years of directing and managing successful teams
- Deep working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Thorough understanding of computerized General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Inventory, and Accounts Payable packages
- Influential leader that effectively manages people, plans and delegates workload, and manages employee performance to drive success
- Unparalleled attention to detail, ability to manage multiple responsibilities at once, in a fast-paced environment
- Strong verbal and written communicator with the ability to communicate professionally at all levels with internal and external business partners
- Strong computer literacy and experience with Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word, and have an advanced Excel skill level
- Ability to coach and mentor direct reports, and assist with conflict resolution
