Job Title: Project Accountant

Years of Experience: 3+ years

Location:  Tampa, FL

Base Salary: $70,000-$90,000/year

The Project Accountant is responsible for the financial management of all projects within the company. This includes the preparation of budgets, tracking expenses, and managing cash flow. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures and experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities:

• Maintenance of complete and accurate record of the Project’s financial transactions from startup through closeout.
• Project setup in Procore/Sage and review of Owner Contract to verify key requirements.
• Review subcontracts, purchase orders, Owner, and Subcontractor change orders to ensure accurate posting.
• Assist the Project Manager with financial closeout and analysis of all transactions.
• Keeping a record of all project finances for internal/external auditing and tax purposes.
• Ensure that the subcontractors, suppliers, and vendor's account balances in Sage are always correct and reconciled.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in project accounting
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
