Under the direction of the Tribal Health Director, the incumbent assists in the identification of community health needs, and plans, designs, implements, presents and evaluates strength-based health and wellness educational programs for American Indian/Alaska Natives (AI/ANs). Undergraduate degree (B.A. or B.S.) in public health, nutrition, nursing, or equivalent related field. Five (5) to ten (10) years' experience in a combination of settings including preventative health and wellness education, dietetics and nutrition education, or other equivalent experience. Master's Degree in Public Health Education preferred. Experience working with all age groups and experience working with AI/AN population preferred. Valid Connecticut Drivers' License required. Must have ability to certify annually in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Knowledge of HIPAA and Privacy Act and confidentiality of protected health information.
