CNC Machinist and Programmer

Location: Colorado Springs, CO

Pay Range: $25.00 – $38.00 per hour

Job Type: Full-Time, Contract to Hire

Shift Options:

• 1st Shift: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
• 2nd Shift: Monday – Thursday, 2:15 PM – 12:45 AM (includes 10% shift differential)

Position Overview

We are hiring experienced CNC Machinists and Programmers to join a high-performance team working on advanced machining projects. This role is ideal for professionals who enjoy solving complex challenges, working with state-of-the-art equipment, and mentoring others in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and program CNC and manual machines, including Haas Lathe, Feeler, G&L, Femco Vertical Mills, and Femco HBC
• Perform prototype machining, R&D, and reverse engineering
• Use both conversational and G-code programming methods
• Set up, troubleshoot, and optimize machines for maximum efficiency
• Inspect finished parts to ensure high precision and quality standards
• Conduct routine maintenance to keep machines in top condition
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Track job costs and ensure projects stay within budget
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior machinists

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a machine shop environment
• Strong CNC programming and lathe operation skills
• Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints
• Proficient in writing programs for various machine controllers
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $38.00/hr.
