Snapshot / Role Overview
We're seeking an Assistant Project Manager in Phoenix, AZ to support project management teams and coordinate field operations for commercial construction projects.

Impact

• Enable project success by supporting scheduling, documentation, and field coordination activities

• Drive efficiency through proactive communication with trade partners and project stakeholders

• Support quality outcomes by tracking submittals, RFIs, and change orders accurately

• Develop project management skills through hands-on experience with diverse project types

Responsibilities

• Assist project managers with schedule development, tracking, and updates

• Process submittals, RFIs, and change orders in project management software

• Coordinate subcontractor activities and track progress against project schedules

• Attend project meetings and distribute minutes and action items

• Track project costs and assist with budget monitoring and forecasting

• Support procurement activities including material orders and equipment deliveries

• Maintain organized project files including drawings, specifications, and correspondence

• Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure quality and safety compliance

• Communicate with trade partners, owners, and project stakeholders as directed

• Learn company systems, processes, and project management best practices

Requirements

Must-Haves

• 1-3 years of construction or project coordination experience

• Strong organizational and communication skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel and Outlook

• Ability to read construction drawings and specifications

• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to job sites

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with project management software such as Procore, Viewpoint, or similar platforms

• Familiarity with mechanical, electrical, or plumbing (MEP) systems

• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification

• Intern or co-op experience with commercial construction companies
