A well-established commercial general contractor is seeking a motivated Assistant Project Manager to support its growing portfolio of projects across the Chicagoland area. As an APM, you’ll work closely with Project Managers and Superintendents to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing project schedules, budgets, and subcontractor coordination
• Support RFIs, submittals, change orders, and document control
• Help track material procurement and delivery timelines
• Attend jobsite meetings and assist with field coordination
• Maintain accurate project records and reporting
• Collaborate with design teams, clients, and vendors throughout the project lifecycle
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and quality standards

Qualifications

• 4+years of experience in commercial construction
• Strong understanding of construction processes and documentation
• Proficiency in construction software (Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, or similar)
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
