Job Description

Highly organized and detail-oriented clerical administrative assistant is needed to join an insurance office during Open Enrollment. This role supports agents and ensures smooth operations during a high-volume time, contributing to client satisfaction and operational efficiency.

R esponsibilities

  • Answering phones and directing customer inquiries to the appropriate department or agent.
  • Providing administrative and clerical support to agents and other office personnel.
  • Assisting with preparing and processing insurance applications, renewals, and modifications.
  • Maintaining accurate and organized policy files and client records.
  • Managing client databases and updating policy and contact information.
  • Assisting with the scheduling of appointments and meetings.
  • Responding to client inquiries regarding policy details, coverage options, and claim status.
  • Collaborating with senior staff to streamline processes and improve customer experience.
  • Performing other administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in business administration or a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in an administrative support or customer service role, preferably within the insurance industry.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
